Bangladesh-Malaysia Chamber of Commerce and Industry Director Mahbub Alam Shah briefed MICCI officials on potentials of Bangladesh.

He said there are 5,000 businesses or company members in the bilateral Chamber and that Bangladesh, imports more than it exports to Malaysia. 

He also extended invitation to MICCI Sabah members to visit Dhaka.

There are nine flights from Kuala Lumpur to Dhaka daily and direct flight only take three hours 30 minutes.

The Chamber would be participating in this year’s MIHAS to be held in Kuala Lumpur, whilst also considering to participate in business international events in Sabah in near future, such as Sabah International Expo (SIE).

MICCI Sabah Vice Chairs Datuk Susan Chang and Matthew Loh briefed Mahbub on the potential of trade and investment of Sabah and its strategic location within the BIMP-EAGA (Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines - East ASEAN Growth Area) economic bloc with total population of more than 80 million.
