DHAKA: AKM Selim Osman has been elected President of Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association for next two years (2010- 2012).

Al-haj Habibur Rahman was elected first vice-president, Mohammad Hatem second vice-president, Colonel (rtd.) Sarafat Jamil vice-president and Aslam Sani vice-president (finance).

BKMEA election board chairman Abdul Haque announced the results at its Narayanganj office after Monday’s voting for electing the BKMEA hierarchy.

Voting for electing BKMEA directors was held Sunday. The elected representatives cast their votes Tuesday to elect the president and the vice-presidents.      

Present among others were the newly elected directors of the BKMEA.
