FROM PARLIAMENT: The government has a total of Tk 195,000 crore foreign loans in the public sectors till June of fiscal year 2012-13.

The government had paid Tk 1,571 crore as interest and Tk 8,185 crore as capital in the year.

Finance Minister AMA Muhith made the disclosure while addressing the parliament in response to a question from lawmaker Tahzib Alam Siddique, MP from Jhenidah-2 on Wednesday.

In response to another query by Morshed Alam, MP from Noakhali-2, he said, in the current fiscal year till July 31, some donors and organizations gave Tk 1,314 crore as loan and Tk 67 crore as aid.
