DHAKA: Planning Commission member Arastoo Khan has been appointed as acting chairman of state-owned Agrani Bank.
The bank and financial institutions division of finance ministry on Sunday issued a gazette notification in this connection.
The post fell vacant on September 7 as the government did not extend tenure of immediate-past chairman Bazlul Hoque Khondoker.
Arastoo Khan has been serving as a director of the bank for the last couple of years. He achieved first place in audit cadre of BCS-1982.
