DHAKA: Investors witnessed gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Wednesday.

The broad index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, rose over 78 points to stand at 5153 at the close on the fourth trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 158992with transaction at Tk 9,771 million. Of the issues traded, 129 advanced, 52 declined and 21 remained unchanged.

TITASGAS topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 966 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were GP, SQURPHARMA, DELTALIFE, MJLBD, JAMUNAOIL, OLYMPIC, BXPHARMA, BEXIMCO     and PADMAOIL.
 
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 9648 by gaining over 184 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 171 gained, 39 declined and 19 remained unchanged.
