DHAKA: Apex business organization of the country FBCCI, BKMEA and readymade garments owners’ organization BGMEA delegates went to BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s Gulshan political office and signed in the condolence book.

A 14-member delegation, including BGMEA president Atiqul Islam, former business community leader Anisul Haque and AK Azad reached at BNP chief’s residence around 7:30pm to console her at the death of her younger son Arafat Rahman Koko.

They left the office around 8:00pm after signing the condolence book.

BGMEA president Atiqul Islam said journalists they came to console Khaleda Zia for her son’s death and they had no other intention.

However, they failed meet Khaleda Zia, he added.

On January 24, Arafat Rahman Koko, son of former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia, died on way to hospital in Malaysia after he complained of chest pain.

Arafat Rahman was rushed to a nearby hospital after he felt chest pain. On duty doctors declared him dead around 12:30pm Bangladesh time.

Koko’s body will reach the country Tuesday. He will be buried at Banani army graveyard after his namaz-e-janaza at Baitul Mukarram in the afternoon.
