DSE, CSE down at opening

DHAKA: Share price index at the country’s twin bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – witnessed negative trend in early hours of trading on Monday, the second trading day of the week.

DSEX, the broad index of DSE, went down 66.21 points or 1.42 percent to reach 4588.74 at 11:45 am.

Trade deals stood at 19620 with volume of transactions at Tk 698.33 million.

Of the issues traded till then, 35 gained, 222 declined and 26 remained unchanged.

LAFSURCEML topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 32.23 million having changed hands.

The CSE key index, CSCX also went down 117.79 points to stand at 8496.73, also at 11:43 am.

Of the issues traded till then, nine gained, 150 declined and nine remained unchanged.
