HILI (DINAJPUR): The import and export activities through the Hili Land Port (HLP) in Dinajpur has suspended as a goods-laden truck turned turtle and closed the road near the entrance of the port Monday afternoon.
Banglahili Customs C&F agent association secretary Shahinur Islam Shahin told banglanews that an imported rice-laden truck from India overturned on the road as one of its wheels came off.
He also said the activity of the port is generally closed at 6:30pm and this is why the passage will not be clear before Tuesday.
Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Hili CP camp commander Subedar Abdul Hamid said they deployed BGB personnel so that none can steal rice from the truck.
