DHAKA: Investors witnessed gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Thursday.

DSEX, the broad index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, rose over 20.99 points to stand at 4763.21 at the close on the last trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 81,549 with transaction at Tk 2961.03 million. Of the issues traded, 147 advanced, 109 declined and 49 remained unchanged.

However, top 10 gainers of country’s major bourse of the day were NTLTUBES, SONALIANSH, SPCL, IBNSINA, GQBALLPEN, NPOLYMAR, RANFOUNDRY, GEMINISEA, BDLAMPS and USMANIAGL.

Nevertheless, SPCL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 130.89 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were IDLC, UCBL, ACI, LAFSURCEML, MJLBD, SAPORTL, BSCCL, SQURPHARMA and BANGAS. 

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8854.41 by gaining over 36.4 points. 

Out of the issues traded, 107 gained, 81 declined and 44 remained unchanged.
