DSE, CSE witness fall Monday

DHAKA: Key share price indices at both bourses-- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- witnessed negative trend on Monday, the second trading day of the week.

However, DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, reached at 4,719.40 points by 2:30pm, starting from 4,740.00 points in the morning.

Monday’s top 10 gainers at the DSE were ILFSL, BEXIMCO, PRIMETEX, IFADAUTOS, BDCOM, NTC, DELTALIFE, POPULARLIF, NFML and MTB.

Nevertheless, SIBL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 160.70 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders of the major bourse were SPCL, SAPORTL, IFADAUTOS, LAFSURCEML,     GP, BSCCL, DELTALIFE, SQURPHARMA and BEXIMCO.

On the other hand, the port city bourse, CSE, also saw a negative trend after the day’s last bell despite of some falls with its Selective Category Index, CSCX.

The index, which was in 1,076.00 points at 10:30am, reached up to 8781.10 points while closing the day’s trading.
