DHAKA: Trading on the country’s two bourses--Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) ---is underway with downward trend of price indices on Wednesday.

DSEX, the Broad Index of DSE, shed over 14 points to stand at 4,062 at 12:33pm.

Trade deals stood at 34,727 with volume of transactions at Tk 1,848 million.

Of the issues traded, 44 advanced, 207 declined and 36 remained unchanged.

LAFSURCEML topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 289 million having changed hands.

Following the suit, the Chittagong Stock Exchange Selective Categories Index (CSCX) climbed down to 8227 by dropping over 83 points at about 12:28pm.

Out of the issues traded, 15 gained, 146 declined and 14 remained unchanged.
