Stocks end lower Monday

DHAKA: Country's stock market marked slight fall in its price indices on Monday.

DSEX, the Broad Index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, shed over 26.65 points only to stand at 4506.55 at the close on the second trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 78034 with volume of transactions at Tk 3143.81 million.

Of the issues traded, 90 advanced, 181 declined and 37 remained unchanged.

However,     top 10 gainers of DSE were MONNOCERA, BRACBANK, BSCCL, SIBL, GOLDENSON, BDLAMPS, SINOBANGLA, ARAMIT, FARCHEM     and JAMUNAOIL.

Nevertheless, SPCL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 132.87 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were ONEBANKLTD, ACI, IFADAUTOS, GP, ACIFORMULA, LAFSURCEML, MJLBD, SHASHADNIM and BSCCL.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8345.82 by dropping over 30.47 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 72 gained, 126 declined and 29 remained unchanged.
