DHAKA: National Revenue Board (NRB) has summoned Nobel Laureate Dr Muhammad Yunus for his unpaid taxes of over Tk 13-crore.

The Nobel Laureate has been asked to meet the tax commissioner in city at 11:00am on March 29.

A national daily on Sunday published a report saying that a letter was sent to him from 114 Circle of NRB Tax Zone-6 (Dhaka) in this regard.

Sources said that the amount of Dr Yunus’ (TIN 1791028695) unpaid taxes has been estimated as Tk 13.85-crore.

However, no contact was made for Yunus’ comment.
