DHAKA: After entering the Thai exposition, a visitor will see decorated stalls with delicious Thai foods, fruits, perfumes, bags, sandals, machineries, plastic products and other items.

Thai Embassy in Dhaka, Department of International Trade Promotion and Thai Ministry of Commerce, jointly organized the four-day "Thailand Week 2015” trade fair at the city’s Bashundhara International Convention Centre from Wednesday.

At the fair, 50 stalls have been showcasing seven categories of Thai products such as auto parts and accessories; construction metal and machinery equipment; food and beverage; garments, textile, knitwear and fashion accessories and health, beauty, household and stationery products.

The visitors have the opportunity to enjoy cultural events at the fair and to learn the process of cooking Thai cuisines.

Food item stall Ratri Trading owner Rawson told banglanews, “We can share many information at the exhibition with the visitors and consumers about the foods imported from Thailand”.

International Trade Promotion Department senior promotion officer Kazi Shafiq Bin Ashraf told banglanews that the visitors will get opportunity to buy or to be introduced with various kinds of Thai products.

It will also provide an instant opportunity for the businesspeople to have one on one meeting with Thai exporters on the event premises.

The exhibition, which also featuring Thai cultural show along with demonstration of Thai and other cuisines, will remain open from 10:00am to 8:00pm till March 28.

Bangladesh commerce minister Tofail Ahmed inaugurated the exhibition Wednesday morning.

Thai ambassador in Dhaka Madurapochna Ittarong and councilor of Thailand commerce ministry Wachara Chamnanwong, among others, were present at the inaugural ceremony.
