DHAKA: The Executive Committee of National Economic Council (ECNEC) Tuesday approved three development projects involving a cost of Tk 636.96 crore.

The approval came from a meeting of the government’s highest policy-making body at the NEC conference room in city with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair.

Planning minister AHM Mustafa Kamal was talking to the journalists after the meeting.

He further said of the cost of the projects, Tk 622.51-crore would come from government exchequer while respective offices will finance Tk 14.45-crore.

Finance Minister AMA Muhith, agricultural minister Matia Chowdhury, shipping minister Shahjahan Khan and Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment minister Engineer Khandker Mosharraf Hossain were, among others, present in the meeting.
