DSE, CSE witnessing gain

DHAKA: Trading on the country’s two bourses --- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- is underway showing gain in share-price indices on Monday.

DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, gained by 8.05 points or 0.17 per cent to 4519.52 after the first two-hour of trade at 12:29pm.

Trade deals stood at 50700 with volume of transactions at Tk 2264.66 million.

Of the issues traded till then, 110 advanced, 132 declined and 54 remained unchanged.


TITASGAS was the most traded stocks with shares worth Tk 147.88 million changing hands till then followed by UNITEDAIR, BEXIMCO, BXPHARMA, KPCL and SQURPHARMA.

The port city bourse – Chittagong Stocks Exchange (CSE) – also witnessed downward trend in early hour with its Selective Category Index losing 29.43 points to 8485.23, also at 12:22pm.

Of the issues traded till then, 88 gained, 76 declined and 36 remained unchanged.
