DHAKA: Trading on the country’s two bourses --- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- is underway with downward trend of share-price indices on Thursday.

DSEX, the Broad Index of DSE, shed over 25.47 points to stand at 4431.76 at 12:00pm.

Trade deals stood at 44053 with volume of transactions at Tk 1373.40 million.

Of the issues traded, 57 advanced, 197 declined and 42 remained unchanged.

OAL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 287.49 million having changed hands.

Following the suit, the Chittagong Stock Exchange Selective Categories Index (CSCX) climbed down to 8310.16 by dropping over 59.64 points at about 11:59am.

Out of the issues traded, 37 gained, 123 declined and 21 remained unchanged.
