DHAKA: The Jatiya Sangsad passed the Tk 295100 crore national budget for the 2015-16 fiscal year with a hope to leading country towards prosperity.

The bill was passed by voice vote Tuesday after some 57 hours discussion by 219 lawmakers.

On June 4, Finance Minister AMA Muhith proposed a Tk 2.95 lakh crore budget for 2015-16, fixing the target of attaining a higher GDP growth of 7.0 percent in the financial year.
