DSE, CSE see fall at opening

DHAKA: Share price indices at the country’s both bourses --- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- slipped in early hours of trading on Sunday, the first trading day of the week.

DSEX, the Broad Index of the DSE, went down by 11.75 points or 0.25 per cent to 4560.82 after the first one-hour of trade at 11:19 am.

Trade deals stood at 34661 with volume of transactions at Tk 1537.45 million.

Of the issues traded till then, 89 advanced, 148 declined and 28 remained unchanged.

LAFSURCEML was the most traded stocks with shares worth Tk 132.50 million changing hands till then followed by OAL, BEXIMCO, ACI, UNITEDAIR and UPGDCL.

The port city bourse – Chittagong Stocks Exchange (CSE) – also witnessed downward trend in early hour with its Selective Category Index losing 23.30 points to 8553.36, also at 11:10am.

Of the issues traded till then, 46 gained, 94 declined and 21 remained unchanged.
