DSE, CSE down at opening

DHAKA: Share price indices at the country’s twin bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – witnessed negative trend in opening hour’s trading on Monday, the second trading day of the week.

 The DSE benchmark index, DSEX went down 13.41 points or 0.29 percent to reach 4522.58 at 11:47 am.

Trade deals stood at 7799 with volume of transactions at Tk 308.88 million.

Of the issues traded till then, 50 gained, 98 declined and 38 remained unchanged.

OAL was the most traded stocks with shares worth Tk 65.45 million changing hands till then followed by ACIFORMULA,  UNITEDAIR, BEXIMCO, ACI and LAFSURCEML.

The CSE key index, CSCX shed over 18.34 points to stand at 8480.07, also at 10:50 am. Of the issues traded till then, 27 gained, 45 declined and 16 remained unchanged.
