Japan to train construction men from Bangladesh

DHAKA: Japan will train one thousand people involved in manufacturing and construction sector in Bangladesh.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the two countries at expatriates’ welfare and overseas employment ministry in city on Wednesday morning.

Expatriates’ welfare minister Engineer Khandker Mosharraf Hossain and Japan’s International Manpower Development Organization (IM) chief executive officer Kyoei Yanagisawa signed the MoU.

According to the agreement the people will get training in Japan for three years at free of cost. They will implement their knowledge after returning home.

Moreover, Japan government will provide 2-lakh yen for the trainees so that they can implement their earned knowledge at home.

Bangladesh manpower export and training bureau director general Shamsun Nahar, IM senior executive director Kazuo Tsubota, among others, were present at the signing ceremony.
