DHAKA: Investors witnessed gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- on Thursday.

DSEX, the Broad Index of DSE, rose over 20.18 points to stand at 4599.91 at the close on the last trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 106519 with transaction at Tk 4772.60 million. Of the issues traded, 218 advanced, 22 declined and 16 remained unchanged.

GP topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 146 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were IFADAUTOS, KPCL, UNITEDAIR, ACI, BEXIMCO, OAL, BXPHARMA, AFCAGRO and SQURPHARMA.
 
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8630.38 by gaining over 32.88 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 118 gained, 94 declined and 30 remained unchanged.
