DHAKA:  Bangladesh Bank has directed all banks to ensure ATM and POS (Point of Sale) services during holidays of upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr.

The circular of the central bank, regarding the matter, had been sent to respective Chief Executive of the banks.

According to the directives sent from Payment Systems Department of BB, the banks are directed to ensure a constant supply of cash at ATM booths and remain open those for 24 hours.

The circular signed by Payment Systems Department General Manager KM Abdul Odud said customers must be informed immediately if any booth remains closed during Eid holidays.
 
The central bank also directed the banks not to harass its customers in banking transactions.
