DSE, CSE up at opening

DHAKA: Share price indices at the country’s both bourses --Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – witnesses upward trend in early hours of trading on Sunday, the first trading day of the week.

DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, gained by 12.91 points or 0.26 per cent to 4821.31 after the first one-hour of trade at 11:23am.

Trade deals stood at 38537 with volume of transactions at Tk 2078.94 million.

Of the issues traded till then, 126 advanced, 108 declined and 45 remained unchanged.

LAFSURCEML was the most traded stocks with shares worth Tk 232.27 million changing hands till then followed by KPCL, SPCL, RENATA, OAL and SHASHADNIM.

The port city bourse – Chittagong Stocks Exchange (CSE) – also witnessed gain in early hour with its Selective Category Index losing 34.37 points to 8999.62, also at 11:18am.

Of the issues traded till then, 60 gained, 51 declined and 18 remained unchanged.
