DHAKA:  Investors witnessed minor gain in benchmark indices of the country’s bourses Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE), on Thursday, the last trading day of the week.

DSEX, the key index of DSE, rose over 14.40 points only to stand at 4792.30 at the close of day’s trading.

Trade deals stood at 137848 with volume of transactions at Tk 6298.63 million.

Of the issues traded, 156 advanced, 117 declined and 41 remained unchanged.



LAFSURCEML topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 416.69 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were SQURPHARMA, SHASHADNIM, BXPHARMA, IDLC, BEXIMCO, OAL, GP, FARCHEM and UPGDCL.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8959.59 by gaining over 38.40 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 114 gained, 99 declined and 35 remained unchanged.
