DHAKA: Investors witnessed gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Thursday, the last trading day of the week.

DSEX, the Broad Index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, rose over 4.88 points to stand at 4856.96 at the close of day’s trading.

Trade deals stood at 94863 with transaction at Tk 4242.39 million. Of the issues traded, 150 advanced, 128 declined and 42 remained unchanged.

FARCHEM topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 375.54 million having changed hands.



The other turnover leaders were SAIFPOWER, SAPORTL, APOLOISPAT, DESCO, IDLC, BSRMSTEEL, LAFSURCEML, UNIQUEHRL and ACI.
 
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 9047.96 by gaining over 12.84 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 108 gained, 114 declined and 25 remained unchanged.
