Stocks see fall Wednesday

DHAKA: Investors witnessed minor fall in benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Wednesday, the fourth trading day of the week.

DSEX, the broad index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, shed over 39.03 points only to stand at 4371.54 at the close of day’s trading.

Trade deals stood at 74012 with volume of transactions at Tk 2550.28 million.

Of the issues traded, 95 advanced, 185 declined and 34 remained unchanged.

TITASGAS topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 396.93 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were SAIFPOWER, IFADAUTOS, BEXIMCO, SQURPHARMA, KDSALTD, UPGDCL, LAFSURCEML, BSRMSTEEL and BXPHARMA.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8134.11 by dropping over 58.15 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 55 gained, 148 declined and 38 remained unchanged.
