DHAKA: Trading on the country’s two bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- is underway with downward trend of share-price indices on Monday.

DSEX, the Broad Index of DSE, shed over 16.44 points to stand at 4767.36  at 2:07pm.

Trade deals stood at 115440 with volume of transactions at Tk 5135.04 million.

Of the issues traded, 109 advanced, 155 declined and 49 remained unchanged.

ISLAMIBANK topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 313.46 million having changed hands.

Following the suit, the Chittagong Stock Exchange Selective Categories Index (CSCX) climbed down to 8924.97 by dropping over 24.85 points at about 2:06pm.

Out of the issues traded, 81 gained, 121 declined and 48 remained unchanged.
