DHAKA: The Executive Committee of National Economic Council (ECNEC) gave approval to six projects worth Tk 3,961.94-crore on Tuesday.

The projects, including construction of rail track from Kalukhali to Tungipara, were approved in a meeting held at NEC Conference Room in city’s Sher-e-Bangla Nagar area.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina chaired the meeting.

According the meeting sources, the rail tracks will connect Kalukhali and Baliakandi of Rajbari districts; Madhukhali, Boalmari and Alfadanga of Faridpur district and Tungipara of Gopalganj district.

Government will provide the expenditure of this project.
