DSE, CSE see fall at opening

DHAKA: Share price indices at the country’s both bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- slipped in early hours of trading on Monday, the second trading day of the week.
   
DSEX, the broad index of the DSE, went down by 20.18 points or 0.41 per cent to 4811.52 after the first one and half hour of trade at 11:53am.

Trade deals stood at 30541 with volume of transactions at Tk 1295.80 million.

Of the issues traded till then, 67 advanced, 170 declined and 52 remained unchanged.

SPCL was the most traded stocks with shares worth Tk 116.67 million changing hands till then followed by ISLAMIBANK, SQURPHARMA, QSMDRYCELL, APEXFOODS     and LAFSURCEM.

The port city bourse – Chittagong Stocks Exchange (CSE) – also witnessed downward trend in early hour with its Selective Category Index losing 36.71 points to 8984.89, also at 11:56am.

Of the issues traded till then, 48 gained, 102 declined and 38 remained unchanged.
