DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- witnessed gain in share price indices on Thursday (November 24), the last trading day of the week.

DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), gain over 25.97 points or 0.54 percent to stand at 4791.33 points at the end of day’s trading.

Trade deals stood at 140,947 with transaction at over Tk 6584.25 million. Of the issues traded, 173 advanced, 120 declined and 26 remained unchanged.

The Doreen Power Generations and Systems Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 270.94 million having changed hands on the day.

Other toppers of the market were Bangladesh Export Import Company Ltd., Generation Next Fashions Limited, Bangladesh Building Systems Ltd., Bangladesh Building Systems Ltd., City Bank Ltd., Quasem Drycells Ltd., The Peninsula Chittagong Limited, National Bank Ltd., AB Bank Limited and Dragon Sweater and Spinning Limited

The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, gain over 32.89 points to stand at 8962.29 points on the day.

Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 139 gained, 89 declined and 22 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 429.00 million.
