Bourses start week in red

DHAKA: The benchmark indices of the country’s two bourses – Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – witnessed loss on Sunday (November 27), the first trading session of week.
 
The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, lost over 9.75 points and 0.20 percent to stand at 4781.57 at 1:10pm.

Trade deals stood at 77,555 with transaction at Tk 3271.98 million.

Of the issues traded, 106 advanced, 161 declined and 48 remained unchanged.

The Doreen Power Generations and Systems Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 193.85 million having changed hands on the day.

Chittagong stocks also followed the trend, as CSCX, the prime index, came down to 8947.47 by gaining over 14.82 points on the day.

Out of the issues traded, 76 gained, 105 declined and 24 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 215.45 million.
