Markets see rise in opening

DHAKA: The benchmark indices of the country’s two bourses – Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – are witnessing gain in the opening hours on Tuesday (November 29), the third trading session of week.

The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, acquired over 14.62 points and 0.30 percent to stand at 4812.27 at 12:28 pm.

Trade deals stood at 88,173 with transaction at Tk 4188.47 million.

Of the issues traded, 190 advanced, 80 declined and 48 remained unchanged.

Ratanpur Steel Re-Rolling Mills Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 171.95 million having changed hands till then.

Chittagong stocks also followed the trend, as CSCX, the prime index, went up to 9005.07 by gaining over 20.92 points at 12:27 pm.

Out of the issues traded, 129 gained, 64 declined and 27 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 222.32 million.
