DHAKA: The two bourses of the country – Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – witnessed mixed trends in share prices indices on Sunday (December 4), the first trading session of the week.
The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, shed over 0.73 points or 0.01 percent to stand at 4822.29 at the end of day’s trading.
Trade deals stood at 156,795 with the transaction at Tk 7334.00 million.
Of the issues traded, 126 advanced, 139 declined and 57 remained unchanged.
Bangladesh Building Systems Ltd. topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 347.05 million having changed hands on the day.
Other toppers of the market were National Tubes Limited, Lafarge Surma Cement Ltd., IFAD Autos Ltd., Shasha Denims Ltd., Ratanpur Steel Re-Rolling Mills Ltd., Olympic Accessories Limited, Bangladesh Export Import Company Limited, Quasem Drycells Ltd. and Confidence Cement Ltd.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, CSCX, the prime index, climbing up to 9031.34 by gaining over 8.07 points.
Out of the issues traded, 107 gained, 104 declined and 32 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 445.63 million.
