DHAKA: The 18th meeting of the Standing Committee on Protocol on Inland Water Transit & Trade (PIWTT) between India and Bangladesh was held in city on Tuesday (December 6).  

The Indian side was led by Chairman Inland Waterways Authorities of India Amitabh Verma and the Bangladesh side by Additional Secretary of Shipping Ministry M Rafiqul Islam.  

On the same day, the meeting of the Joint Technical Committee (JTC) on trans-shipment of goods at Ashuganj also took place, said a press release.

Moreover, bilateral issues of mutual interests were discussed at the meetings.
