DHAKA: Bangladeshi gold merchants have lessened the price of gold by around Tk 1,100 per bhori (11.664 grams).

Gold in the local market will be sold at Tk 44,790 per bhori of 22-carat from Wednesday (December 7) which was Tk 45,898 till Tuesday.

Bangladesh Jewellers’ Samity (BJS) general secretary Dilip Kumar Agarwala issued a press release in this regard on Tuesday (December 6).

In the release, BJS said that the newly fixed prices of different carats of gold are: a bhori of 21-carat gold is Tk 42,690, 18-carat Tk 37,033, and the traditional gold Tk 24,028.
