DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- witnessed gain in share price indices on Wednesday (December 7).

DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), gained over 25.19 points or 0.51 percent to stand at 4871.28 points at the end of day’s trading.

Trade deals stood at 159,429 with transaction over Tk 8642.45 million. Of the issues traded, 144 advanced, 132 declined and 49 remained unchanged.

Olympic Industries Ltd. topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 460.43 million having changed hands on the day.

Other toppers of the market were IFAD Autos Limited, Ratanpur Steel Re-Rolling Mills Ltd., Argon Denims Limited, Quasem Drycells Ltd., Bangladesh Building Systems Ltd., Fortune Shoes Ltd., Shasha Denims Limited, Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd. and Olympic Accessories Limited.

The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, gain over 43.23 points to stand at 9110.33 points on the day.

Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 131 gained, 93 declined and 25 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 493.20 million.
