DHAKA: The number of e-TIN (electronic tax identification) holders in Bangladesh has crossed 25 lakh.

Sources from the national board of revenue (NBR) informed the matter to Banglanews on Wednesday (December 7).

According to NBR source’s information, as many as 2,500,358 persons registered their names as e-TIN holders till afternoon.

Of them, 521,383 people registered their names from July 1 to December 7.

Earlier, NBR chairman Md. Nojibur Rahman predicted that the number of e-TIN holders’ in the country would cross the 25-lakh mark.

Meanwhile, a few days ago finance minister AMA Muhith expected that the number of tax givers would cross the e-TIN holders this year.
