DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – are witnessing gain in share price indices in the opening hours on Thursday (December 8).

DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), gained over 19.41 points or 0.39 percent to stand at 4890.70 points at 12:50 pm.

Trade deals stood at 103,423 with a transaction over Tk 7432.01 million. Of the issues traded, 165 advanced, 108 declined and 44 remained unchanged.

Aftab Automobiles Ltd. topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 255.80 million having changed hands till then.

The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, acquired over 25.24 points to stand at 9135.57 points till 12:48 pm.

Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 120 gained, 72 declined and 28 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 312.68 million.
