DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – are witnessing upwards trends in share price indices in the opening hour on Wednesday (December 14).

DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), gained over 27.30 points or 0.56 percent to stand at 4896.90 points at 10:53 am.

Trade deals stood at 20,257 with a transaction over Tk 1242.17 million. Of the issues traded, 165 advanced, 33 declined and 38 remained unchanged.

Bangladesh Building Systems Ltd. topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 343.87 million having changed hands till then.

The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, acquired over 59.55 points to stand at 9141.25 points till 10:54 am.

Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 76 gained, 14 declined and 7 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 67.75 million.
