DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- witnessed gain in share price indices on Monday (December 26).

DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), gained over 36.79 points or 0.74 percent to stand at 4993.53 points at the end of day’s trading.

Trade deals stood at 192,371 with transaction over Tk 10818.09 million. Of the issues traded, 204 advanced, 98 declined and 23 remained unchanged.

The Bangladesh Building Systems Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 418.67 million having changed hands on the day.

The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, gain over 72.61 points to stand at 9323.61 points on the day.

Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 176 gained, 65 declined and 13 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 683.04 million.
