DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- witnessed gain in share price indices for the ninth day on the trot on Wednesday (January 4).

DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), gained over 18.86 points or 0.36 percent to stand at 5156.60 points at the end of day’s trading.

Trade deals stood at 206,131 with transaction over Tk 12091.14 million. Of the issues traded, 145 advanced, 146 declined and 36 remained unchanged.

Argon Denims Ltd. topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 446.60 million having changed hands on the day.

The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, gain over 13.65 points to stand at 9585.85 points on the day.

Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 110 gained, 127 declined and 22 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 731.36 million.
