Bourses see loss after seven days gain

DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- witnessed loss in share price indices on Wednesday (February 15), the fourth day of the trading week.

DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), shed over 18.07 points or 0.32 percent to stand at 5580.63 points at the end of day’s trading.

Trade deals stood at 175,701 with the transaction over Tk 10536.12 million. Of the issues traded, 96 advanced, 188 declined and 46 remained unchanged.

LankaBangla Finance Ltd. topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 396.87 million having changed hands on the day.

The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, lost over 23.88 points to stand at 10471.73 points on the day.

Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 83 gained, 141 declined and 35 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 616.56 million.
