Bourses see up at opening hours Wednesday

DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – are witnessing gain in share price indices on Wednesday (March 8), the fourth day of the trading week.

DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), gained over 25.54 points or 0.45 percent to stand at 5648.03 points at 1:33 pm.

Trade deals stood at 127,959 with the transaction over Tk 9223.33 million. Of the issues traded, 117 advanced, 169 declined and 43 remained unchanged.

LankaBangla Finance Ltd. topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk508.05 million having changed hands till filing the report.

The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, gained over 43.43 points to stand at 10600.31 points at 1:31 pm.

Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 95 gained, 100 declined and 39 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 553.99 million.
