DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – are witnessing gain in share price indices on Thursday (March 9), the final day of the trading week.

DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), gained over 39.33 points or 0.69 percent to stand at 5689.31 points at 11:49 am.

Trade deals stood at 61,422 with the transaction over Tk 4431.13 million. Of the issues traded, 200 advanced, 60 declined and 43 remained unchanged.

Bangladesh Export Import Company Ltd. topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 268.22 million having changed hands till filing the report.

The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, gained over 98.47 points to stand at 10709.49 points at 11:46 am.

Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 120 gained, 38 declined and 24 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 221.32 million.
