Bourses see up Tuesday

DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – witnessed gain in share price indices on Tuesday (March 14), the third day of the trading week.

DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), acquired over 21.53 points or 0.38 percent to stand at 5681.25 points at the end of day’s trading.

Trade deals stood at 149,341 with the transaction over Tk 9647.96 million. Of the issues traded, 140 advanced, 150 declined and 36 remained unchanged.

IFIC Bank Ltd. topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 313.21 million having changed hands on the day.

The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, gained over 35.95 points to stand at 10675.17 points.

Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 114 gained, 109 declined and 29 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 672.00 million.
