Bourses see up at opening Wednesday

DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – are witnessing gain in share price indices in the opening hours on Wednesday (March 29), the fourth day of the trading week.

DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), acquired over 24.52 points or 0.42 percent to stand at 5761.93 points at 12:15 pm.

Trade deals stood at 67,170 with the transaction over Tk 5259.93 million. Of the issues traded, 125 advanced, 129 declined and 54 remained unchanged.

City Bank Ltd. topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 518.22 million having changed hands till then.

The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, gained over 40.00 points to stand at 10827.86 points at 12:13 pm.

Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 79 gained, 100 declined and 29 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 347.89 million.
