DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- witnessed gain in share price indices on Tuesday (April 4), the third session of the trading week.

DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), gained over 37.78 points or 0.65 percent to stand at 5777.11 points at the end of day’s trading.

Trade deals stood at 142,464 with the transaction over Tk 9831.59 million. Of the issues traded, 161 advanced, 119 declined and 48 remained unchanged.

City Bank Ltd. topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 658.58 million having changed hands on the day.

The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, acquired over 73.54 points to stand at 10864.54 points.

Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 119 gained, 103 declined and 30 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 864.87 million.
