Markets see deflation Tuesday

DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- witnessed loss in share price indices on Tuesday (April 11), the third session of the trading week.

DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), shed over 6.20 points or 0.10 percent to stand at 5683.46 points at the end of day’s trading.

Trade deals stood at 123,253 with the transaction over Tk 7826.23 million. Of the issues traded, 142 advanced, 138 declined and 45 remained unchanged.

LankaBangla Finance Ltd. topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 445.58 million having changed on the day.

The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, lost over 9.32 points to stand at 10675.07 points.

Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 113 gained, 87 declined and 40 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 447.88 million.
