Bourses see up at opening on Thursday

DHAKA: The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – are witnessing gain in share price indices in the opening hours on Thursday (April 27), the fifth session of the trading week.

DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), gained over 39.82 points or 0.72 percent to stand at 5557.19 points at 12:30 pm.

Trade deals stood at 56,386 with the transaction over Tk 3419.90 million. Of the issues traded, 204 advanced, 73 declined and 35 remained unchanged.

LankaBangla Finance Ltd. topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 178.00 million having changed till then.

The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) was also witnessing positive trend, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, acquired over 88.03 points to stand at 10449.34 points at 12:25 pm.

Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 121 gained, 46 declined and 22 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 182.82 million.
